Ge Yuan, located in the Unicorn Park in the south of Hangzhou's Cloud Valley, is the headquarters of Merit Interactive (Ge Tui), a publicly listed company. The project has a total floor area of 87,000 square meters. It is a win-win project cooperating with the independent intelligent big data service provider. The architectural design is inspired by the corporate logo "whale." The three light and dynamic buildings are like giant whales leaping above sea level.
If the project site is "2" and the building in it is "1", then the site space outside the building will be the "1" that remains after "2-1". 1". The design thinking of Personalized Garden is to break the conventional equation of "2-1=1" for site and building. LYCS ArchitectureBased on the corporate culture and image of Daily Interactive (Personal Promotions), the design concept of "a giant whale coming out of the water" was put forward, and Personal Garden is perched on top of a podium in the form of the ocean with a trio of towers. The three towers stand on the east, northwest and southwest sides of the site, forming a wraparound overall layout; the podium connects the three relatively independent building blocks to form a large indoor continuous space, providing office space for various scales of teamwork; and the roof of the podium provides a continuous and rich variable space for social recreation, ecological sports and other lifestyles.
The architect strived for simplicity for the design of the building form. The towers are slightly turned and changed in plan to visually reduce the oppressive feeling of the building volume. Each tower echoes the left high and right low, enhancing the connection between the building units and enriching the change of the building skyline. The partial rise of the tower base above the podium provides a variety of outdoor activities and landscape spaces, while adding multiple depths of view to the space. The innovative diagonal façade of the building shows a shimmering effect under different light conditions, and the partial rise provides a variety of outdoor activities and landscape spaces while creating a visual effect like a giant whale about to jump and take off.
The façade abandons the horizontal composition and implements dynamic diagonal elements to the end. The curtain wall is composed of light gray metal aluminum panels, "zigzag" pattern ventilators and trapezoidal double-layer low-e insulating glass, with trapezoidal floor-to-ceiling windows and rectangular panels arranged in a staggered sequence, which is simple, bright and staggered. The unique oblique texture effect of the building façade, on the basis of meeting the indoor sunlight and ventilation, combined with the light to present an active and dynamic sense of life, just like a moving whale, tossing and swimming in the ocean and waves of the big data era, pointing to the spiritual core of individual push, and adding a touch of beauty to the urban renewal, becoming a new benchmark for Hangzhou unicorn headquarters. This is also another creative innovation of LYCS Architecturein the field of office integration design.
