Quzhou Smart Town Digital Economy Industrial Park - "Rolling Hillscape" is a landmark digital complex containing a wisdom service center, a multi-functional complex space, a technology incubation center, a big data supercomputing center, etc. The project is located in Quzhou High-speed Railway New City, adjacent to Quzhou Sports Park. LYCS Architecture uses rolling roofs to integrate different functional spaces into a whole, and the building seems to be "gently" placed in nature, echoing the urban landscape. The interior design continues the design language of the rolling landscape, extracting "folding, curving, interspersed and stacked" from the architectural elements and integrating them into the interior space to create a shared office space that fits the humanistic environment of Quzhou and is close to the citizens.

Miniature cities at an intimate scale

The original intention of the design is to use the public attributes of the project itself for urban planning, construction and development under the bright background of the construction and planning of the core area of Quzhou grand garden to make the space a mode centered on urban public activities. The design integrates four different functions into a huge platform, realizes the high-level view of Quzhou's miniature urban compound, weakens the boundary line of the project plot, allows the landscape greening to infiltrate naturally, and allows the building to be "lightly" placed on the Naturally, the "city compound" is openly shared with all citizens and city guests.

The order of the courtyard that moves from one step to another

The architectural form is based on the capital city in "Kao Gong Ji - The Craftsman," combined with the Quzhou village to create a small-scale miniature city. Although each function is independent of the other, they are closely connected. The design breaks up the building volumes and then rotates and connects them, opening up some of the enclosed volumes to open up the outdoor space. The building volume changes are fully integrated with the site form, echoing the surrounding buildings and environment, and a continuous walkway is provided on the exterior. The ramps and dynamic connections to the ground floor allow the broken-up buildings to be linked orderly and integrated into a new whole.

The high and low ramps create a spatial experience of "scenery moving with each step, and scenery changing with each step." While ensuring a good connection of internal functions, the building maximizes the light, ventilation and landscape of each functional part, forming three atrium areas: the water courtyard, the wood courtyard and the study courtyard. In addition, an air walkway is placed within the building, echoing with the pitched roof to create a multi-dimensional view, creating a wonderful internal space and external courtyard that is interrupted and connected like a garden.

Rolling city skyline

The building adopts a low-rise, high-density design approach to create intimate, small-scale building volumes with sloping roofs, creating an undulating, staggered architectural landscape. The continuous undulating, sloped roof unifies the building group, and the continuous undulating volume creates a continuous mountainous intent, simulating the skyline of the mountains to connect with the city skyline along the city's main roads. The main entrance opens in a gesture of welcome and embrace, and the continuous undulation of the sloping roof shows the urban temperament of Quzhou's ecological landscape.
