On January 12, 2016, Harvard Graduate School of Design, LYCS ArchitectureArchitects and Pinnacle Logistics concluded their joint keynote event - "Thinking about the Future of Design". The Harvard Graduate school of Design selects dozens of the best students to participate in the "China Trip" every year, and this time they came to Hangzhou and invited LYCS Architectureand Pinnacle to hold a public lecture to discuss future design trends with outstanding designers from different fields. On the day of the event, seven speakers shared their views on the theme of "Thinking about the future of design" and interacted with the audience. LYCS Architecture as the first speaker, RUAN Hao, the founder of the architecture firm, discussed how design grows with iterations, media communication, user attention and long-term effects, which attracted a lot of discussion. The event attracted more than 200 people including teachers, designers and students from renowned institutions. We hope that through the exchange and discussion between Chinese and Western cultures, we can bring some inspiration to the attendees' thoughts and find an answer to the possibilities of future design.

RUAN Hao is the founder of LYCS Architecture, a professor at the School of Architecture of China Academy of Art, and a leading figure of post-85 designers. He is also the founder of furnishing, the largest online design platform in China. RUAN Hao has a master's degree in architecture from Princeton University and a master's and bachelor's degree in architecture from Tsinghua University. He is the youngest visiting scholar in the history of Harvard University School of Design. He is the first architect and interior designer to be selected as one of the Forbes China 30 Under 30 Entrepreneurs. He is also the youngest recipient of the China Young Architects Award, the highest honor for young architects in China, and has been honored as one of the "World's 50 Innovative Designers Under 50" and a "Goldman Sachs Global Leader".
