The opening ceremony of the 26th World Congress of Architects of the International Association of Architects (UIA) was held on september 4, 2017 at the coex convention center in Seoul, Korea. The congress was hosted by the International Association of Architects (UIA), the Federation of Institute of Architects of Korea (FIKA), and the Seoul metropolitan government, and organized by the UIA 2017 Seoul world congress of architects organizing committee.
The china pavilion is the most noteworthy national pavilion of the UIA conference. The theme of the exhibition is "between integration and harmony": A dynamic process that starts with integration and pursues the ultimate harmony, and china is now in this stage of historical development. "it is also a contemporary application of ancient chinese wisdom, mapping from the spiritual level to the specific technical level, reflecting the current thinking of chinese architects and global architects.
The exhibition is divided into three sub-themes: Urban Renewal, Rural Construction and Chinese Architects. The first two sections respectively show the development path of Chinese urban renewal in pursuit of integration and harmony, and the path of local architecture in Chinese villages from urbanization to beautiful villages, presenting the architectural activities of different regions, types, and design subjects from various perspectives, and choosing representative original works of Chinese architects constructed in the past 10 years to introduce in-depth; the third section shifts the object of display from the buildings themselves to the designers of the buildings - Chinese architects - through their work, life, social responsibility and other aspects.
