On October 18, 2019, Tongji University School of Design and Creativity held a thematic exhibition and the "Sense of Connection" Spatial Design Forum at the 2019 Huan Tongji Design Week. LYCS ArchitectureArchitects was invited to participate in the Design Week and exhibited its work "Hangzhou Haishu School of Future Sci-Tech City". At the same time, Mr. Ruan Hao, the founder of LYCS Architecture, gave a speech on the theme of "User: The Beginning and the End of Design", discussing with designers from all walks of life how the relationship between people and space is realized through a series of multi-directional media in a tiny space.
As an in-depth communication platform leading the development of the discipline, Tongji Design Week over the years has closely linked design thinking with a sustainable future, gathering and launching a number of forward-looking design ideas, theories and practical achievements under the themes of New Space (2014), New Knowledge and Action (2015), New Challenges (2016), New World (2017) and New Community (2018). This year, Tongji Design Week has been officially upgraded to Ring Tongji Design Week, uniting the advantageous resources of Ring Tongji Design Industry Belt and Knowledge Economy Circle, and establishing partnership with Shanghai Urban Space Art Season.
With the theme of "new decade", the first tongji design week held more than 30 exciting events, including forums, exhibitions, lectures and workshops, to seek opportunities for the development of global design in the next decade, explore the transformation of "industrial yangpu - knowledge yangpu - innovation yangpu", and clarify the mission of world-class design schools in the process.
