Founded in 1994, IIDA was formed by the merger of the Institute of Business Design (IBD), the International Society of Interior Designers (ISID), and the Council of Federal Interior Designers (CFID), with the aim of creating an association of interior designers that can represent the best in the world. 2020 IIDA Best of Asia Pacific Design Awards is the 8th year of the competition, which is one of the most influential competitions under IIDA. The IIDA Best of Asia Pacific Design Awards 2020, in its 8th year, is one of the most influential events under the IIDA umbrella, aiming to select and recognize the most outstanding and innovative interior design and interior architecture projects in the Asia Pacific region.
Linhai Yufengli Boutique Hotel is located at the old street entrance of chicheng road, a renovation project with a floor area of 4,000 square meters, whose architecture, interior, soft furnishings and vi system are designed by LYCS Architecture in an integrated way. The project is close to ziyang street, the first ancient street in linhai, which is the cultural bloodline of linhai's thousand-year old city, the epitome of the ancient city's legacy, and the symbol of the famous historical and cultural city. The design is based on the concept of "time and space corridor", which is the main line of the whole concept, linking the existing buildings of the site in three different historical eras: Late qing dynasty and early republican period, post-liberation and reform and opening up. For the 100-year-old courtyard, the old is restored as the old; for the 60-year-old two industrial heritage buildings, local innovation is made while the buildings are restored to create a dramatic collision. For the 20-year-old modern buildings, substantial innovations are made to make them more fashionable while retaining the original framework of the buildings.
The whole complex still retains the architectural beauty of each era and tells the story of history. The design should restore and reinforce this dramatic historical collision, so that everyone of different ages and backgrounds can come here and find a sense of a time that touches their hearts.
