Today, the winners of the 2021 Hong Kong Design Awards, organized by DRIVENxDESIGN, were announced. LYCS Architecture's "2100Club" won the Silver Award in the Hospitality - Eat & Drink category.
DRIVENxDESIGN was founded by CEO Mark Bergin in 2010. As an internationally influential design award, the Hong Kong Design Awards recognizes creative and innovative design work, outstanding designers and teams.
The 2100 Club is an ancient building located in the heart of Hangzhou's Xixi Wetland. The design of the project is based on the fusion and contrast of "new" and "old", using a coherent design approach to "deconstruct" the traditional building. In order to unify the overall atmosphere of the surrounding environment, the original appearance of the building is restored extensively, and the "black box" is placed into the building at the entrance by means of placement, thus close to the design concept of "new and old", "history and modernity". History and modernity" collide. The modern decoration of the interior contrasts strongly with the ancient building complex outside. The extended bar, the dancing roof, the geometric structure of the aisle and the lighting create different visual sensations, introducing customers to a new space and trying to give a new sensory experience to those who are tired of the lights and desire to be different.
