On March 29, Quzhou Smart Town Digital Economy Industrial Park , designed by LYCS Architecture, officially broke ground recently.
Quzhou Smart Town Digital Economy Industrial Park Project is located in Quzhou High-speed Railway New City, adjacent to Quzhou Sports Park, and is a comprehensive office project with a total construction area of 100,000 square meters, including four functional areas such as Smart Service Center, Multi-composite Space, Technology Incubation Center, and Big Data Supercomputing Center. The design integrates the four different functions into a huge platform, weakening the boundary line of the project site and allowing the landscape and greenery to penetrate naturally, allowing the building to be "gently" placed on top of nature and sharing the "city compound" openly to all citizens and city guests. The design of the building form is combined with the Quzhou village to create a small-scale micro-city, in which each function is independent but closely connected as a whole.
The building volumes are broken up and then rotated and connected, opening up part of the enclosed volumes to open up the outdoor spaces and providing a continuous walkway on the exterior. The ramp and the dynamic connection to the ground floor allow for the orderly linking of the broken up buildings and their integration into a new whole. The high and low ramps create a spatial experience where "the view moves with each step, and the view changes with each step". The building adopts the design technique of low level and high density to create a small scale building volume with a sloping roof, creating an undulating and staggered architectural landscape. The continuous undulating sloping roof unifies the building group, and the continuous undulating volume creates a continuous mountain view, simulating the skyline of the mountains to connect with the city skyline along the city's main roads.
