Haiyan Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum Nearing Completion

The curtain wall construction of the Haiyan Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, is nearly complete and the main building is beginning to appear. The 7,210 square meter project, originally located at the Electric Power Instrumentation Factory, will become a landmark commercial and cultural complex with multi-functional functions such as cultural exhibition, commercial retail, and tourism and lodging.

The overall planning of the project is based on the strategy of "inheriting traditional culture and realizing the new life of the old factory", and the façade is made of perforated metal plate material, forming a semi-transparent second layer of the skin, echoing the traditional cotton weaving techniques of Haiyan's non-legacy cotton weaving techniques with the texture of the perforated waves.
