Recently, the 15th BEED 2023 Asian School Construction Conference, hosted by BEED Asia, was successfully held in Shanghai. The conference's theme is "Breaking Dawn and Taking Advantage of the Situation," aiming to explore the challenges and opportunities faced by the current education field and how to promote the high-quality construction of schools better. Mr. RUAN Hao, the founder of LYCS Architecture, was invited to attend the "Green and Sustainable Campus New Future" forum, focusing on the theme of "Compound Panlearning Campus Space Design" and conducting in-depth discussions in conjunction with educational practice projects related to LYCS Architecture.
RUAN Hao said, "For every designer, the design of campus buildings need to be done from the child's behavior, breaking the traditional management of solidified thinking, to stimulate the creativity of young people, imagination and more thinking mode. Starting from Herzberg's theory and Steiner's pedagogy, we propose a "composite" informal learning spaces, which no longer cements the design between classrooms, and through the interaction of environment and space, forms a more diversified, fluid and socialized new campus integrated space."
