On September 25th, the 3rd Global Digital Trade Expo (GDTE) opened grandly in Hangzhou. As the only national-level, international, and professional exhibition in China dedicated to digital trade, the visual identity of this event was designed by LYCS Architecture.
Digital trade has seamlessly integrated into every aspect of our lives. The vast amount of data generated from everyday activities such as eating, clothing, housing, and transportation transforms into quantum bits, traveling at the speed of light through networks and connecting the world tightly. The event's main visual design, "Quantum Connection," was born from this very inspiration.
The design, assisted by AI technology, starts from the fundamental unit of the digital world—quantum bits. On a deep blue background, quantum bits radiate with sparkling dots of light. Additionally, a circular form symbolizes the grand vision of connecting global trade, creating a strong sense of convergence in the overall digital visual representation.
As the permanent host city of GDTE, Hangzhou's cultural symbols, such as the jade cong, the Broken Bridge, and the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon, are subtly integrated into the center of the design, adding a rich local flavor that reflects the essence of Hangzhou.
To ensure the successful hosting of the GDTE, the organizer and design team temporarily modified the main entrance of the Hangzhou International Expo Center. They transformed the circular element from the "Quantum Connection" concept into a physical blue archway, creating a striking, futuristic entrance that exudes technological sophistication and freshness.
Centered around the main visual, the visual language has been meticulously refined and extended, seamlessly integrating into various display materials. From tickets, entrance displays, and roadshow installations to signage, every detail reflects a cohesive and highly recognizable visual style, enhancing the overall experience and amplifying the immersive atmosphere of the exhibition.
