The interior design of the mass sports center in Jiangshan City draws inspiration from the building façade. It adopts a pixelated approach, using different color blocks and materials to make a differentiated concept while ensuring the unity of the overall space. To create an atmosphere of indoor sports vitality to ensure functional use, creating a sports park with vitality and cultural flavor. From the three levels of spatial variability, the civilization of the venue, and changeable functions, we make a large multi-functional stadium for mixed use during and after the competition.
The project's design concept is "large scattering and small gathering, a garden within a garden," considering nature as a part of life and deeply rooted in the core of Chinese culture. The courtyard space between the building and the water surface is naturally stacked, and the ritual of approaching the water surface gradually unfolds. In one of the courtyards, an architectural design of a circular theater is adopted, providing an ideal place to hold various events such as conferences and weddings. The upper balcony naturally becomes the theater's upper viewing platform, providing the audience a perfect location to overlook the event. This design provides functional use of space and gives the building a unique charm and vitality.
The design of the guest rooms in this project is a departure from the traditional hotel corridor model, with a permeable design on both sides to maximize the introduction of natural views. The building façade presents a light layering of flying eaves while lowering the view through the large eaves to focus the eyes on the magnificent mountain and lake views. Rainwater drips from the eaves to the ground, forming a pattern of confluence and encirclement, symbolizing the continuous flow of wealth and prosperity into the courtyard wall, known as the "Four Waters Returning to the Hall." This design not only enhances the lightness of the building but also provides guests with the opportunity to get in touch with nature, allowing them to enjoy the stunning mountain and water scenery.
