The project "Qinglongwu in Reminisence’ Resort Hotel" designed by LYCS Architecture has been completed.
Qinglongwu is located in the beautiful mountainous Tonglu County, which retains a very simple local architectural style and primitive way of life. As a design proposal to renovate the vernacular architecture, we try to restore the users' emotional experience of the vernacular culture and natural environment through the architecture and interior space from their point of view. Unlike most B&B resorts, the "emotional experience" contained in the design is visual and a physical experience that combines physical sensation and behavioral experience. It means that the room and landscape design is no longer centered on traditional hotels' "living" function but on the subject's experience.
The design consists of two models of renovation proposals, "Big House" and "Little House": the "Big House" is designed around the social experience of the smallest social units, such as couples and extended families. The "small house" design is tailored to the core of the experience with different themes for each room, such as sleeping on the floor, boudoir tent, open-air bathing, etc.
