Baoye Future Home Named China' s First Zero-Carbon Residential Project with Design Label

Recently, the China Building Energy Efficiency Association has developed the "Zero-Carbon Building Assessment Standard (Trial)" (T/CABEE 080-2024) and the "China Building Energy Efficiency Association Zero-Carbon Building Assessment Management Measures" based on the technical indicators of the "Zero-Carbon Building Technical Standard" (draft for approval), the "Building Carbon Emission Calculation Standard" (GB/T51366-2019), and the "Building Energy Efficiency Assessment Standard" (T/CABEE 080-2024).the Zero-Carbon Building Assessment Standard (Trial) (T/CABEE 080-2024), and the China Building Energy Efficiency Association's Zero-Carbon Building Assessment Management Measures.Among the announced zero-carbon building assessment projects, the "Future Home" at Baoye Four Seasons Garden, designed by LYCS Architecture, has become the nation's first zero-carbon residential building project to receive a design certification.

By integrating passive design, renewable energy technologies, and intelligent energy management, the project achieves zero annual operational carbon emissions, demonstrating the feasibility of high-quality, environmentally responsible residential development. This certification provides authoritative recognition of the project’s innovative low-carbon pathway and signifies a key step toward the scaled implementation of zero-carbon housing in China.
