LYCS Architecture designed a series of resort hotels with different styles created in Huzhou for the world's top 500 Hailiang Group. Relying on the rich forest environment, this project takes recreation as the core to create Hailiang International Recreation Town. Hailiang Huzhou Parent-child Study Tour Hotel is located at the entrance of the town, and the naive panda on the roof of the building makes visitors instantly enter the vacation state. The hotel is positioned as a space for parent-child activities and research, containing parent-child-themed restaurants, activity rooms, theaters and other entertainment facilities, with about 136 rooms.
Designed to cater to children’s preferences, the project features a cute panda theme that highlights the family-friendly nature of the hotel and caters to children’s preferences in form, thus creating a huge IP effect. The building is designed with a double first floor, and the roof garden resembles a floating green carpet that cleverly hides the main public space, while the guest room area is on top of the green carpet. The building plan combines the language of childishness, taking windmills as the inspiration and borrowing from the atrium space design of Tulou, so that the building form shows a rotating posture and creates a lively and dynamic atmosphere for children. The panda space on the fifth and sixth floors is equipped with a parent-child theater and can be easily accessed by independent sightseeing elevators. Wood grain material poles are used on the building façade, adding a warm element to the hotel.
