The site is located in Hangzhou, close to the West Lake scenic area, with excellent mountain view resources on the north side, beautiful surroundings, convenient transportation, and easy access. The owners wanted to create a home that was open and able to maintain privacy to meet their needs while on vacation. To this end, LYCS Architecture adopted an integrated architectural-interior design approach, redesigning the exterior spaces and interior structure to create a comfortable and attractive living environment.
By blending modern openness with traditional Zen elements, a comfortable interior space is created to liberate the owner from the fast-paced city life. The interior uses traditional Zen interior design elements such as screens, chandeliers, and coffee tables while adding modern design elements such as stylish lamps and sofas to create a hybrid style of modern and traditional Zen. In terms of color selection, a fresh and soft atmosphere is created by choosing natural and comfortable colors, such as light wood, curry, and white. The introduction of indoor greenery and light allows natural elements to blend with the interior space, creating a Zen-like atmosphere.
