Located on the Dapeng Peninsula in Shenzhen, the center is a mixed-use complex with office and R&D as its main focus. The concept of the program originates from the creation of a "miniature city": by dividing the typical multifunctional mixed building into 10 minimum scale blocks, the functional blocks move in and out of the plane and fall in height to form a staggered façade form. The continuous glass curtain wall and horizontally projecting floor slabs unify the staggered movement in the plane with a continuous form. In the horizontal cascade, a third torsion layer is introduced, disturbing the continuous horizontal gesture. The undulation, staggering and twisting bring dynamism to the static building. The overall architectural form achieves a delicate balance between this staggering and unification and disturbance, continuity and discontinuity. The result is a miniature city where landscape and architecture interpenetrate.

Multi-level and three-dimensional landscape system

The originally separated building blocks on the first floor are connected on the second floor by external and internal corridors and form open and closed inner courtyards according to static and dynamic zoning. These interpenetrating inner courtyards and the third-level landscape terrace form a multi-level three-dimensional landscape system. The third level of the building complex, by rotating horizontally and undulating vertically, forms an elevated, wave-like landscape community deck that slightly disturbs the regular plan system, linking the different levels of the blocks to form a dynamically balanced overall space. The terrace-like landscape form of the roof plan is continued by steps to the interior of each functional area on the third floor, forming a flexible form of open creative office, exhibition, education, and comprehensive service areas.
