The project is located in the scenic area of Hangzhou, with a superior natural landscape. The design is based on the concept of "aerobic office", which introduces the unique natural landscape into the site's interior. The office space is perfectly integrated with the natural atmosphere, ensuring the permeability of the space and encouraging collaboration among employees, creating an office environment with permeability and artistry.
Firstly, the site is surrounded by natural scenery with a pleasant lake view. Making use of the site advantages, the design brings the outdoor scenery indoors, continuing the concept of "vision". Secondly, there are many sunken spaces in the site, so the design uses it to create a variety of activities according to the local conditions. At the same time, the sunken areas are filled with skylight, so the design uses the skylight to create a rich and varied light and shadow effect, increasing the artistic vision of the space. Finally, the project avoids the one-size-fits-all ceiling method, taking advantage of the original building's pointed roof, the ceiling is decorated along the pointed roof, avoiding the low floor height and making the space high and open corridor.
Based on the three Vision spaces placed in the original site, different forms of boxes were placed in the space to accommodate functional spaces, including multi-functional activity areas, communication venues, leisure negotiations, etc. The boxes were reasonably caved in to ensure the light from the top and the permeability on all sides while dropping 450mm to ensure sufficient descending areas and hard-fitted sitting benches were set at the corners of the boxes. The ceiling avoids the stacked level shape, making the public aisle area 300mm higher than before the renovation, and combined with the sunken area, the space is also more elevated. Finally, based on forming a certain array of space, strip lights are placed to string all areas together to form a sense of visual penetration. It creates an "aerobic office" space with permeability, openness and artistry.
