Yanguan Hotel is located in the famous tide-watching sanctuary of Haining Yanguan Scenic Area. It is a Zen culture tourism service complex integrating five-star hotels, serviced apartments, resort hotels, commercial services and other functions. The design combines the natural landscape of the Yanguan scenic area, aiming to shape a landmark building that harmoniously blends with the surrounding environment, promotes the development of the regional tourism economy and respects the characteristics of urban planning.
The project site has a beautiful landscape and convenient transportation but is divided into two plots by a 20m wide river. The design abandons the traditional five-star hotel planning principle. It takes the strong conceptual enclosure as the starting point, using the antique technique to restore the core building group of An Lan Yuan in the center of the site as the functional area of the Zen culture hotel. With this as the center, the modern buildings form a "U" layout across the river, opening up to the Xiatang River and Guo Yan Line on the west. The receding platform design creates a continuous undulating building form, extending the landscape view and gaining a large outdoor terrace space. The special structural design elevates some rooms and the rooftop infinity pool over the river to maximize the river view.
