Located in the West Lake scenic area, Jinxi Hotel is surrounded by a water system and exclusively enjoys the secluded area's natural landscape. Jinxi Hotel was partially renovated during the G20 summit as an important reception hotel. This design is to renovate and upgrade the third area of its hotel complex. The design strategy combines the historical and cultural characteristics of Hangzhou and West Lake and reshapes the hotel life aesthetics belonging to Jinxi from three aspects: Inheritance, integration and innovation.
The design incorporates contemporary spatial elements based on the original exquisite and elegant Jiangnan architectural style. The spatial language revolves around the ten scenes of Jinxi, giving corresponding themes to different functional spaces and reshaping the aesthetics of hotel life belonging to Jinxi, melting into the beauty of the West Lake landscape. The hotel rooms are decorated with traditional elements such as woven textures and decorative patterns. Different rooms vary in furnishing and color scheme to form rooms for guests such as parents, children and business people.
With a simple design language, the atrium and walkway areas incorporate silk and water ripple texture flooring to create a beautiful atmosphere. The top grille allows sunlight to pass through, creating a unique light and shadow effect on the white walls, restoring the traditional atmosphere of pink walls and tiles. This design not only creates a beautiful environment but also brings people back to the atmosphere of traditional culture. Walking in this area is like traveling back to ancient China and feeling the beauty of traditional architecture and cultural precipitation.
