Linhai Yin Yuan Boutique Hotel, a renovation project spanning nearly 6,000 square meters, is designed by LYCS Architecture, which is responsible for both architectural and integrated interior design. Leveraging historical and natural cultural elements, the design seamlessly integrates classical humanities with modern luxury, aiming to create a boutique hotel that embodies historical heritage and contemporary elegance.
The project is located beneath the 4000-year-old city wall of Linhai, Taizhou Prefecture, alongside a 525-year-old ancient tree within the courtyard, witnessing the profound changes that have occurred in Linhai over the past century. The design takes industrial remnants and the centenarian tree as its core driving force, converging at the intersection of ink printing and paper, leveraging the superior geographical location of the ancient city. It revitalizes the 80-year-old Linhai Printing Factory into a hub for hotels, new lifestyles, and creative culture, becoming an innovative space that connects history with modernity and integrates culture with art.
The design employs natural materials to create a sense of timeless elegance, allowing guests to enjoy a comfortable accommodation experience and immerse themselves in a museum-like cultural atmosphere. The public areas are crafted as art galleries, where light and shadow meet with blue bricks, conveying a classical and graceful aesthetic. Inside the guest rooms, dark-toned wooden furniture and decorative elements inspired by printing dominate, creating a fusion of classical and modern elements that give guests the sensation of being inside a museum.
