The Baybridge Hotel Hong Kong (Ting Biju) has a magnificent view of Tsing Ma Bridge and the South China Sea. Guests enjoy the beautiful sea view of Tsuen Wan with drawn curtains. This allows relaxation and comfort. The original project site was an interior renovation with site constraints and cost limitations. It has a floor area of about 20,000 square feet. The French hotel managers had various requirements for room types. We knew this would not be an easy task. However, old housing structures can spark new concepts when combined.
By changing the structure, we combined two separate units into one, creating a relatively large common space for the occupants to share. The white tones of the guest room section create a more relaxed space, with more storage space adding to the practicality of the sophisticated design. The rooms also have a simple kitchen, allowing residents to enjoy their own carefully cooked meals and a homey feeling during their visit to Hong Kong.
The simple furniture complements the space, and each room is equipped with carefully selected wall paintings. More storage space also adds to the practicality of the apartment, giving it a more "young + trendy" vibe than the cozy suites. In addition, the apartment has a common bathroom, kitchen, dining table, refrigerator and other necessities, and simple and delicate materials with a light industrial feel. The tone of the space is relaxed and lively.
