ZHAN Yuan has a Master's degree in Architecture from Harvard University, a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Tianjin University, and is an Associate Professor at the School of Architecture and Art of China Academy of Art. He is a partner in charge of the firm's architectural design and is responsible for the architecture section's overall business development, team management, and design innovation. ZHAN Yuan joined LYCS Architecture in 2011 as one of the founding team members. While at Harvard, he studied under Bjarke Ingels and Christian Kerez and worked at Kengo Kuma Associates. He has led the design of more than fifty domestic and international projects, many of which have become landmark buildings in their cities and regions.

He has been invited to lecture at Harvard University School of Design, Harvard Asia Business Forum, Zhejiang University, Tianjin University, etc. His works have been exhibited in many international exhibitions, such as the Venice Biennale of Architecture and Art and the World Architecture Exhibition.
