As industrial development meets urbanization, "Industry 4.0" and "Industrial Skyscraper 3.0" steer global manufacturing toward more efficient, intensive, and intelligent directions. In this context, LYCS Architecture's "Wisdom Valley" - ZENGCAI Manufacturing Industrial Park - emerges as Zhejiang Province's first dual-ground-level project embodying "Industry 4.0 + Industrial Skyscraper 3.0." It represents the forefront of new-generation industrial parks and exemplifies the perfect integration of future industrial architecture with the ecological environment. The project is located in the "Vision Valley Window" area of the Xianghu Future Industry Community in Hangzhou, with a total construction area of 119,982 square meters. Alongside the IoT Industrial Park to the west, it forms a comprehensive industrial complex integrating R&D, pilot testing, mid-scale testing, and industrialization spaces.

Vertical transportation of goods

The vertical transportation system addresses the challenges of transporting heavy equipment and maintaining high load capacities while ensuring efficient freight movement in multi-story industrial buildings. The design includes a vertical circular ramp and loading platform on the east side of the podium, allowing trucks to reach the fourth floor, providing door-to-door delivery service for floors 1-4. The fourth-floor loading platform, with a load capacity of 5T, meets the transportation needs of floors 5-7. Trucks travel along the circular ramp to the fourth-floor platform for centralized loading and unloading, with vertical transport via freight elevators, meeting the "dual-ground-level" standard. Core shafts are offset to the east and west sides, adjacent to each floor's loading platform. The transport network comprises six freight elevators with a 5T capacity and four with a 3T capacity. The park's traffic design separates "goods" from "people," with trucks entering from the west side, loading and unloading on the east side, and exiting from the northeast. In contrast, pedestrians enter and exit through the southwest plaza, ensuring efficient transport and pedestrian safety.

Customized factory facilities

This project understands that industrial production needs vary. That's why the building offers customizable factory spaces that can adapt to different requirements. The building uses a standard column grid of 9×10 meters with core shafts offset to the sides, providing spacious operational areas ranging from 1,800 to 5,000 square meters, capable of accommodating production lines up to 73.9 meters long. Spaces can be flexibly divided in horizontal and vertical directions, allowing enterprises to choose from a quarter floor, half floor, or multiple floors, meeting space requirements from several hundred to tens of thousands of square meters. The design team offers three production spaces with different ceiling heights and load capacities, catering to various production needs from small smart devices to semiconductor manufacturing and allowing for customized design.

Eco green valley

The iconic 100-meter-tall main tower integrates offices, R&D, pilot production, and light manufacturing, providing comprehensive support services for the park. Its towering structure and modern curtain wall facade are striking, offering a 270° panoramic view that seamlessly integrates the natural beauty of Xiang Lake into the interior. The staggered massing of the building forms multifunctional sky gardens in the middle of the main tower, organically connecting with the urban natural ecology and aligning with the vertical division of functions—R&D on the upper floors and production below—ensuring efficient operational workflows. Grand staircases, sky gardens, and landscape corridors horizontally link the main tower and the podium buildings, creating multi-level ecological platforms that enhance the comfort of the park's users and integrate with the Xianghu ecosystem. The main tower is complemented by training, reception, dining, commerce, and leisure facilities, catering to various business and lifestyle needs beyond industrial production.
